འབྲུག་ཡུལ་ (Bhutan)
In May 2004 I visited Tibet. I had organized an individual tour through Pacific Delights Tours for a week to tour around Lhasa. On this trip I reached the highest altitude on land that I have ever been at (5,200 m (17,060 ft)) up to that point.
Addendum: In February 2015, I hiked to the summit of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at 5,895 m (19,341 ft). I think this will be the highest that I will reach on land.
In October/November 2012 I visited Nepal and Bhutan. Again I had organized a private tour. The tour was organized by Himalaya Holiday Service. I can really highly recommend this tour organizer. They did a great job in selecting an individualized itinerary and running the tour.
