The Villa Romana del Casale is a large and elaborate Roman villa or palace in central Sicily. It has one of the richest, largest, and most varied collections of Roman mosaics in the world. The villa and artwork date to the early 4th century CE.
The mosaics, exceeding 300 m² (3,230 square feet) also are almost unique in their excellent state of preservation due to the landslide and floods that covered the remains.
